Faculté Polytechnique de Mons
Mons, Belgium
Description
TCTS Lab, of Faculté Polytechnique de Mons invites project proposals for a summer workshop on multimodal interfaces, to be held in Mons, Belgium from July 18th to August 12th, 2005.
The eNTERFACE summer workshop, organized by the SIMILAR European Network of Excellence, aims at establishing a tradition of collaborative,
localized research and developpement work by gathering, in a single place, a team of leading professionals in multimodal interfaces and students
(both graduate and undergraduate), to work on a prespecified list of challenges, for 4 complete weeks.
Each week will end by a presentation session, starting by a tutorial state-of-the-art survey of aspects of multimodal interfaces design,
given by an invited senior researcher, and followed by a presentation of the results achieved by each project group.
The ultimate goal is to make this event a unique opportunity for students and experts all over Europe to meet and effectively work together,
so as to fosten the developpement of tomorrow's multimodal research communauty.
Project submissions on all themes related to the special interest groups of the SIMILAR network of excellence (see below) are accepted.
Giving the proximity of th PASS scientific park, we strongly encourage projects with a real edutainment application.
We also encourage proposals which cover several of the SIMILAR themes simultaneously.
Proposals towards integration of the developed toolboxes into OPENINTERFACE.ORG will be favoured.
This workshop is supported by ISCA.
